Bristin was born and raised in Newport Beach, Ca. She started dancing at the age of two and it quickly became her passion. She graduated from Newport Harbor ’00 and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in ’04 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. That same year she received her Pilates Certification from Body Arts and Science International where she studied directly under Rael Isacowitz. She immediately fell in love with Pilates because it synchronized her passion for dance and her Kinesiology degree.
A dancer for most of her life, Allison adopted Pilates in 2008 as a means of sharing practical movement with others. She became a teacher and obtained a BASI certification (with a dance specialization) in August 2009. So her spirited hobby grew into a nurturing passion that accommodates a wide range of clients, whether it be students simply in need of a class credit or injured athletes seeking rehabilitation. Proper biomechanics became even more significant with her first major injury, a shattered left elbow, at the age of 25. With a metal reconstruction comes frequent modifications, and in this unique learning experience she gains greater empathy with clients. Her classes incorporate playful elements while also encouraging keen body awareness to help facilitate functional movement. Philosophy: “Always strive to your greatest potential, regardless of the pace!”

More than an instructor, Jen Landry’s personal fitness testimony, and self-manifesto are inspirations in themselves. Discovering Pilates about 2 years ago, she was hooked the minute the class got started; realizing this wasn’t just a stretch class, this was a serious workout. A local favorite instructor – teaching Spin, Yoga, SPX Pilates and SUP (standup paddling) in Costa Mesa, Newport Beach and Huntington Beach – she has dedicated her life to making people happy and healthy by pushing them to stay motivated and active! Despite Jen’s addiction to living a healthy and happy lifestyle now, she wasn’t always this way. However, through goal setting she committed herself to staying active, making healthy lifestyle decisions, embracing her self worth, and giving back to others. With these things at the forefront of Jen’s priority list, she is able to live a life of substance and meaning, where she can cherish the little things that really make the big things worthwhile.
Jen was born and raised in Costa Mesa and currently resides in Newport Beach with her boyfriend Ryan. She loves pushing the limit and always trying new things. Being a native Californian, you can typically find her running at the beach, biking on the board walk, hiking in El Morro canyon, and paddle boarding in the Back Bay and in the ocean. Being presented with lululemon Ambassadorship in January 2011, she has helped out with their Run Clubs, participating in events at the lululemon stores for current studios she works for as well as participating in the community. She is also an active participant in many races all over the US as well. To date, she has completed 10 half marathons, 2 marathons, 9 Ragnar Relay Races (24 hour relay race over 200+ miles in Las Vegas, Utah, So Cal and Nor Cal) and an Adventure Triathlon. Be sure to check her out at Escape Pilates and you too will be hooked on her motivation, passion and drive to work harder and have fun doing it.
